Clrich Tramway Village is a great day out for all of the family, even your dog!

Set in the stunning Derbsyhire countryside with views over the Derwent Valley, Crich Tramway Village offers stunning country walks. You can follow the sculpture trail and stop for a picnic at any point on the trail. The indoor displays show a century of trams, the exhibition takes you on a fascinating journey through a hundred years of tramway development, from 1860 – 1960, taking in horse trams, steam trams and electric trams.

You can step back in time along our recreated period street including pub and shops and working trams, you can even ride on the trams.

When you are ready for a break, there are various opportunities for a refreshment stop including the Tea Rooms, The Red Lion Pub, The Sweet Shop and even an Ice Cream Parlour.

Once you have completed your tour, if you have time, Crich Village just down the hill is worth a visit with it’s artisan bakery and cafe, The Loaf and the Black Swan pub. Crich has a real ‘Village feel’ with it’s village square surround by shops and cafes. Also close by are Matlock, Matlock Bath, Belper and of course Country Houses such as Haddon and Chatsworth.
